Bill and Bob Claycomb built the bowling alley in October 1954 but sells the lanes to Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith of Thermopolis and Mr. and Mrs. Don Alexander of Cody so he and his family can focus on their company, B & B Welding and Machine Shop.
W E Claycomb was the owner/manager of the alleys per the 1955 Rocky Mountain Business Directory.
On May 5, 1958 the AMF automatic pin setters were installed by Don Alexander, the first to appear in Cody.
Before bowling shoes were a "thing" you just hopped on down to Bill's Bootery to pick you up a pair in 1955.
The Economy Furniture and Appliance store moved from 1438 Wyoming Avenue to this location in 1965.
