Construction started on the building in July 1947 (per 07-16-1947 Cody Enterprise) and completed in Dec 1947 (per 12-10-1947 Cody Enterprise) at an estimated cost of $9,000.
In 1948, the address was 948 12th St. but was corrected to 922 12th St. due to a poor city address numbering system. Everett Weller (owner/manager) sold the lanes to the Mountain States Motor Company (Ford Motor Co.) and it operated under Cody Motors which had a grand opening March 31st, 1951. Everett Weller was a bowling alley owner out of Riverton (not sure which alleys). |
