Construction of the (George A.) Pulley building was completed sometime after September 1914.
Initially, Mr. Love ran a ten-pinnet setup (perhaps from Rader?) until new regulation lanes were installed in early 1919. Per the 1921 and 1922 Ives Wyoming State Business Directory, W H Love and R H Love were proprietors/managers. William Love is the only Cody bowling center owner that was arraigned on moonshine in March 1921. Per the 1923 Ives Wyoming State Business Directory there is no mention of a bowling alley in Cody. It is believed that the Iowa store occupied this location in the mid-1920s after the bowling alley closed. |
