Factoids: Milo Harding, who had the original store location where the bowling alley eventually took hold, devoted all of his time to his Harding Curio Co. business.
The first regulation 60' Brunswick bowling alley in Cody was installed here by Burkett & Linder, opening Dec 23, 1911 for competition.
Before Cody started annual City Tournaments, the trio of Burns, Sage and Bennett laid claim to be the city's best bowlers and welcomed all challengers, only to be overthrown one week later.
The arsonist who set the fire, completely destroying the Burkett bowling alley and pool hall, was never caught. It makes me wonder who had the grudge, Moore, Linder or another patron?
Note: It is assumed that two regulation Brunswick alleys were installed in December 1911 but I have not found definitive proof.
